We are looking for a Payroll Specialist!
Are you driven by providing excellent service, paying attention to details, and developing the payroll work of the future? Then you could be our new Payroll Specialist!
Who are we?
The Payroll Unit is part of the HR department in Norrköping Municipality, where we are around 60 colleagues. Our goal is to be a leading HR organization that challenges traditional methods. We have 20 employees in the payroll unit who work together to ensure that the right salary is paid on time.
Through close dialogue, we provide professional support and good service to managers and payroll reporters throughout the organization in areas such as payroll administration, system management, training, and pensions.
We believe in trust, responsibility, and open dialogue - values that permeate everything we do. With us, you will become an important part of an HR organization that dares to think outside the box and where you have the space to influence and grow in your profession and shape the payroll work of the future.
We are currently driving exciting development work where we are digitizing processes, developing our routines and flows, and strengthening our delivery with a focus on service to contribute to an efficient and sustainable payroll operation.
With us, you will find both community from a helpful team and an exciting challenge! We are located at Slottsgatan 118 in Norrköping, just a stone's throw from the travel center – close to everything, but most importantly, close to each other.
We are now looking for an engaged Payroll Specialist who wants to contribute to development with us!
Your tasks
At the Payroll Unit in Norrköping Municipality, we work in three teams – two focusing on payroll management and one on system management and development. Our groups have different areas of responsibility, but we take pride in our close collaboration and our willingness to support each other across boundaries.
In the role of Payroll Specialist, you will be part of an engaged team consisting of payroll specialist colleagues, our payroll consultants, system managers, and payroll economists. Here, you will work closely with others who are passionate about payroll and who together want to create the best possible service and support for the entire organization.
You will work broadly within the entire payroll process and be responsible for everything from registration and quality assurance to analysis and follow-up. The role also includes interpreting collective agreements, laws, and internal guidelines, as well as handling questions related to pensions, absence, and other personnel-related compensations.
As a Payroll Specialist, you are a professional and service-oriented support to managers and employees in payroll matters and collaborate closely with colleagues in HR, finance, and the unit. Together, we create a whole in the delivery and contribute to a modern and efficient payroll process in our payroll system Heroma.
You will actively participate in development and improvement work where your competence and curiosity contribute to driving digitization and smarter working methods within the payroll area.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone with a post-secondary degree as a Payroll Specialist, and we would like you to have experience working independently in the payroll field. You have previous experience in service work.
To succeed and thrive in the role, you have experience in driving development and improvement work.
You are digitally skilled and have knowledge of collective agreements, preferably from municipalities or regions, and we view it positively if you have worked in Heroma before.
As a person, you are a team player who contributes to good collaborations and relationships around you, while also having a good ability to drive your work independently and effectively forward.
Furthermore, you are service-minded, stress-resistant, and communicative with the ability to explain complex issues in a pedagogical way and adapt your communication to the target audience with a focus on the best interests of the organization. You gain energy from development and want to be part of finding solutions to the challenges you encounter!
With your digital skills and your interest in IT and innovation, you contribute to the development of the organization in your role. You have a very good ability to structure, organize, and prioritize your work effectively.
You value quality, both in your own work and in collaboration with colleagues, where you appreciate combining daily payroll work with the opportunity to contribute to improvements in our processes. You are flexible and can easily adapt to new situations and working methods.
You communicate well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
Does this assignment feel like a match for you? Warmly welcome your application! We believe you like order, people, and systems – in that order or all at once.
Welcome with your application!
